Who Meals Direct serves
Meal service is available to members whose program has confirmed eligibility and authorized home-delivered meals. A Medicaid home and community-based services program, often called a waiver, may include this support. Each state sets its own rules. See Medicaid.gov's explanation of waiver programs.
Your plan or service coordinator confirms coverage and meal authorization. Contacting Meals Direct does not approve benefits or start delivery.

How to get started
- Find your state team. Have the member's ZIP code and program or plan name ready, if known.
- Confirm authorization. Ask the service coordinator or case manager what approval is needed.
- Discuss meal choices. Confirm formats, menus and any needs the team must review.
- Confirm delivery arrangements. Ask what happens next and who will follow up before making delivery plans.
Keep health details, ID numbers and case information out of public comments. Ask staff which private channel to use for documents.
